I have a firm belief that dating fictional characters would be much more fun than the real life ordeal. For people like me, who spent the better part of their lives binge-watching tv series and movies, we all have a crush now and then on the fictional characters. Do not get me wrong; I am not talking about the actors really, I am talking about the characters they play on screen. I love making up fake scenarios in my head and I kid you not, my stories play out very, very well(in my head). So I made a list of those men who stole our hearts and made us gaga about them.
1. Harvey Specter(Suits)
The thing with Harvey Specter is that he is one of the most loyal characters I have ever come across. He is posh and has an attitude problem the size of Texas, but what I absolutely love about him is that he has this strong sense of protection for those who are close to him. He would go to any lengths to save them from any harm that could remotely touch his loved ones. He is generous and kind which is much surprising(in a good way) and unexpected from such an arrogant man like him. Also, this man knows how to dress to impress!
2. Jamie Lannister(Game of Thrones)
Even though his relationship with his sister is nauseating, I have to give to him, he never does look at any other woman. This guy is one of the strongest men I know (emotionally). He has lost almost every important persons in his life, has been kidnapped, has an infamous nickname and just one hand; and yet there is no stopping this man.
3. Damon Salvatore(The Vampire Diaries)
Like every girl, I too go through the Vampire-loving, Twilight-stalking phase. If there was one fan-fiction I had to write about a vampire, it would be Damon’s. This one is a self-assured jackass outside, but inside he is a total softie. He loves his family immensely and is big on sacrifices.
4. Derek Shepherd(Grey’s Anatomy)
“It’s a beautiful day to save lives” is one quote that every Greys Anatomy fan misses. This doctor is a top neurosurgeon and as humble as they come. It is safe to say I stopped watching the show because his character had died and it was painful and I spent snotfilled nights watching old episodes of him(okay that is an exaggeration, but I did feel horrible).
5. Tony Stark(Avengers/Iron Man)
Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist. Need I say more? Tony Stark always has an answer to all questions. He probably knows more than Google, and that along with his bad boy charm– he is to die for.
6. Thor(Avengers/ Thor)
Who here would not like to date a God? A hot God. His physique only helps his case.
7. Ted Mosby(How I Met Your Mother)
Ted Mosby is probably the only one who could be real. This character makes us feel that ‘To err is human’. He is one who would never judge you by your past and what people talk about you. That is my favourite kind of person.
8. Gerry(P.S I Love You)
Till death do us apart… And even after that! This man didn’t stop loving his wife and being with her in all steps of life, even after his death. That is romantic. That is the kind of romantic which is every girl’s dream. *swoon*!
9. Dr. Sloan(Grey’s Anamtomy)
Mc.Steamy. He might not be the best boyfriend or husband, but a summer fling would be a great idea with Mark Sloan.
10. Sherlock Holmes
Frankly, I do not care if it is Benedict Cumberbatch or Robert Downey Jr. playing Sherlock. This detective has been attacking my heart since I was a kid. And now with the TV series, I actually have a face to put to it. I am a sucker for people with over 200 IQ.
11. Dean Winchester(Supernatural)
One of those emotionally stunted men we love to love. He is witty, mischievious and a little bit immature. But at the same time he is fierce, valiant, courageous and sacrificing. Family is everything for this one. All he needs is someone to tap intohis heart and bring out the emotions past his barriers. I’d be obliged, thanks. *blink* *blink*
12. Michael Blomkvist(Millenium Series by S. Larrson)
I rather love the character, especially in the books. But I can’t put my finger on what I exactly like about him. I love his character. Danial Craig did an amazing work in portraying his role in ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’. If you guys haven’t already watched the movie, make sure you put this on your list as this is one of the best movies I have seen. Easily a 9/10.
13. Hiccup(How To Train Your Dragon 1+2)
Ok he is an animated character, but guys! He rides a dragon! How cool is that?! His awkward boyish charm is awfully attractive.
14. William Thacker(Notting Hill)
He is a bookshop owner. That is paradise for those of us who is passionate about reading books. William Thacker is a gentleman. They’re are rare even in the real world(no offence).
15. Tobias Eaton(Divergent Trilogy)
“I don’t want to be just one thing, I can’t be. I want to be brave and I want to be selfless, intelligent and honest and kind.”
You know what I’m saying? He is a true Dauntless. He is passionate and would fight the world if it means he’s doing the right thing.
